Marcia DeZonia
Gilbert School Board
(Dec. 19, 2011) Thank you to the voters of the Gilbert School District for coming out in record numbers to vote in the school board election last week. Your support for education is what makes Gilbert Schools a vibrant, strong and growing district.
Thank you to Paul Livingston and Chris Benda who are leaving the Gilbert Board of Education.
Paul served on the school board for 4 years and Chris for 9 years. Both men were committed supportersof improved student achievement and top-quality programs and facilities for all Gilbert students. They served well.
Congratulations to Kim Mosiman, who was re-elected to the board and was elected to serve as school board president.
Congratulations and welcome to our 2 new board members, Tanya Austin and Tyler Holck.
There is a lot of work that will be going on in the next few years, both in the world of education on the state and national level that will affect our district, and a lot of work locally on our facility plans. I know they will be great additions to the school board team.
The school district will be working to keep current information about our facility project on the school website at www.gilbert.k12.ia.us and in our monthly district newsletter.
With appreciation to all our patrons,
